Bassin QLD Series - BASSIN Rules

YAMAHA BASSIN QLD SERIES
"BASSIN BARRA CLASSIC 2010 "

This event is a fun filled Teams event designed so anybody can catch and land fish
as a team and not as an individual. We will be helping and advising anybody who is
keen to either learn more or just to have fun learning.

Nominations start from MIDDAY Friday at the "Lake Awoonga Caravan Park "

SESSION TIMES:-
Briefing Friday 1.30pm
FRIDAY Afternoon 3.00pm – 10.00pm
Saturday morning will be a social fish if you want to go out
SATURDAY Afternoon 2.00pm – 10.00pm

PRESENTATION 9.00am Sunday morning.
ENTRY FEE:- $85.oo per competitor
TEAM PRIZES.....1st to 5th Place
All other prizes will be random draw.

RULES:-
1. Teams consist of a minimum of 2 people (max 4 per boat).
2. Catch and release only.
3. Cast & retrieve, fly & Trolling allowed (no bait.)
4. ONE rod per angler to be used at any time.
5. As this is a TEAMS EVENT, Anglers can use or pick up any rod, within the team     boat…… this way everybody gets a chance to land a fish.
6. Knotless landing nets preferred (helps look after fish).
7. Digital camera must be supplied by at least one competitor per team.
8. “BRAGMATS” to be used in verifying length of fish caught.
9. Bragmats will be supplied on a LOAN basis if needed for this event.
10. Two digital images to be taken of each fish……. e.g. fish on bragmat with official        session emblem & angler holding fish.
11. Memory cards submitted at end of each session only 5 longest Barra per Team        per session to be recorded.
12. All live wells, lanyards, lifejackets to be checked before each session.
13. Competitors must wear life jackets at all times whilst boat is on the plane.
14. All boating and safety rules apply on water at all times.
15. No alcohol to be consumed within session times (all other times OK).
16. Judges discussion will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. As this is a photo comp, live-wells are not needed BUT will be inspected.
18. Please keep a good casting distance between all boats.
19. Tag board system will be used.
20. Only legal length BARRAMUNDI 58cm to be submitted.
21. After sunset, the maximun speed allowed is 8 knots.
22. Fishing is allowed outside of session times if you wish to do so……as only       official identification on BRAGMAT will be recognized in session times.
23. Prefish is ALLOWED.......
24. Mobile Phones can be used in an Emergency       Only.

*     Any photo's taken during the competition or at the presentation may be used for publication or on the website.
